What is Filemailer?
Filemailer is a file sending solution for Mac OS X. Saving both time and disk space, Filemailer is a handy utility that changes the way people share files via internet. Millions of people around the world send and receive email whose sole purpose is to transfer files from one computer to another. Filemailer aims to solve the problem of sharing files between computers while saving space.

A typical email for sending a file usually require a lot of time-consuming tasks:

1. To write a subject containing the description of the email
2. To write a salutation part
3. To write a paragraph that states the purpose of the email (which is to send a file).
4. To invent and write a paragraph with some courtesy conversation
5. To write a paragraph to state what action sender expect the recipient to take when received the file- to give feedback to received the file
6. To write greetings at the end of the message

Every one of this steps require a lot of time and it should be not necessary because the aim of the email was just to move a file from a computer to another. What's more the recipient of the file has to spend other time to send another message by email with some new phrases and circumstance greetings.

Filemailer avoids this problem because it does not need to manually enter any text.

Disk space saving
The traditional email programs usually store into the sender computer all the attachments sent, even those very large, making in this way its proprietary database more difficult to manage for backup and unnecessary wasting disk space with duplicates of files that we already have.

For example two colleagues who send a file of 10MB from one desk to another create 2 copies of unnecessary files stored in their respective email programs dealing with 20MB of disk space. If a similar exchange happens 15 times a day, at the end of the working day the two users have occupied 300MB of disk space, and other 300MB to backup data, for a total of 600MB of unnecessary copies of files that their already possess.

Filemailer avoids this waste of space on disk because it don't store locally any copy of the sent files.

Really easy to use
Just drag a file over the name of the person who should receive it and the program deals with the compression of the file, enters the name of compressed file in the subject, inserts a text information in the body of the message and sends the file. The user has just to click on the Send button. The recipient can receive normally the file with her/his email preferred program.

Who needs Filemailer?
Filemailer is given to all those who use email to send files, particularly for those who do so for work. It's really indispensable where file-sharing occurs between colleagues. Also, Filemailer is particularly recommended to those who need to send files to someone but do not have time to entertain a circumstance conversation via email.

Using more than one account to send files
For a personal use of the application, one account to send files is enough in most of the cases, the possibility to handle more than one account is a Filemailer Pro feature.

Editing the message body
One of the most important advantages of filemailing (the activity of sending files via email using a special program that does not archive sent files and that don't require to sender to write manually text), is the one that you don't spare precious time writing text when you need just to send a file to somebody.
